Mission trips aim to uplift people in need around the world by addressing key problems
Our team will serve in these various ways:
- Teach and speak at Unsilenced Voices village sensitization
- Teach and speak at Unsilenced Voices market sensitization
- Teach and speak at Unsilenced Voices sex workers sensitization
- Offer staff development to teachers at the Bo women's vocational training centre
- Participate in our village programs by delivering food and other items along with overseeing Unsilenced Voices savings box program
- We will interact with a special needs community

Who is Unsilenced Voices?
Unsilenced Voices is an international organization that helps survivors of domestic abuse, sexual gender-based violence, and human trafficking worldwide.
Unsilenced Voices is able to offer services to countries outside of the US either alone or by partnering with local organizations in order to offer vocational programs, education, and more that are tailored for that culture and community.
● In Sierra Leone, UV has implemented a vocational training program called,” Matilida’s Program,” which is named for the first girl that was helped by this initiative who later passed from AIDS
○ Currently fully supports 18 former sex workers who are sponsored to attend
vocational training at the Bo Women’s Vocational Training Centre (including
lunch, materials, and enrollment fees)
○ We do 3 monthly sensitizations with sex workers, market women, as well as
village outreach (UV goes into specific villages in the area with education
programs centered around domestic violence and sexual abuse)
○ UV works closely with the FSU (Family Support Unit - the police unit that helps
domestic violence survivors) and other NGOs to implement additional community and youth training as they see fit.
○ In the villages, UV also funds groundnut and a cassava farms (two separate
farms), which employs people in the villages, including those who have been
impacted by domestic violence and sexual abuse. UV pays for the seeds and
clearing of the farms and the workers keep the money earned from the farm, along with a savings box program
What is a Mastermind?
The concept of a Mastermind group was formally introduced by Napoleon Hill.
In his book “Think and Grow Rich“, Hill described the Mastermind principle as, “The coordination of knowledge and effort between two or more people who work towards a definite purpose in a spirit of harmony…no two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind”, also known as, the Mastermind.
